It’s that time of year again! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. Every year, we try to create something unique and fun to share here on YARNutopia. This year is no exception, and we have decided on some friendly monster costumes.
For my costume I just made a monster amigurumi doll and wore a pink and purple outfit to tie it all together.
In recent years, it has been difficult to find the time to make elaborate plans for costumes and not be able to get them done. I’ve scaled down quite a bit, but still like to make sure that I’ve included crochet in each costume. I hope you enjoy our monster costumes and keep coming back each year to see more!
My dad will continue to be the videographer, editor, and photographer for our videos when I move away.
Support YARNutopia today so we can continue to bring you clear, quality crochet tutorials even after I move into my new home!
There will be an added expense of more travel and hopefully this won’t deter our ability to provide consistent videos on a weekly basis.
**You can always contact me via Facebook if you have any problems with the pattern. I am happy to help if you have any questions along the way.

At this point I paused production of this piece and moved on to work on the embellishments (arms, legs, eye etc) so that it would be easier to sew to the body and head without it being stuffed completely closed and sewn shut. Embroider a mouth with teeth with black yarn on the face. Sew horns to the top of the head (I did this part last when I was finished decreasing the stitches at the top of the head), Optional: Surface crochet a line up the center of the body with the same color yarn as the body (see photos for reference)
