Crochet Tutorial: Bows and Bells Napkin Rings

Our first crochet project in the 12 Days of Christmas, starts with this Bows and Bells Napkin Rings! This project takes a common household item and transforms it to make these lovely tabletop decorations.

These napkin rings use an every day household item that usually gets tossed in the trash or recycled. This project is a great way to reduce waste and reuse your tissue paper rolls!

bowsandbellsnapkinring7

While I was experimenting and playing around with the napkin ring, I noticed a flame-less tea-light candle fit inside the ring perfectly! ((Disclaimer: DO NOT USE OR LIGHT A REAL CANDLE WITH THIS PIECE)) Sitting on the side of a shelf, this looks very festive!

Crochet Tutorial: Bow Garland

Every once in a while I like to change things up from the “traditional” to a little bit of a “non-traditional” decor. This bow garland is the perfect way to make that change but still keep with a lovely touch during the holiday season. Using this garland, you can trim your tree, hang in a doorway, or swag it along a banister. This adds a lovely touch to the festive feel of your home this holiday.

I created mine in a multi-colored strand, but your creativity should know no bounds when creating your very own. A combination of red and green, silver and gold, or solid white would all be wonderful ways to display this garland for Christmas.

This project would also be great for a baby nursery or a party decoration! Have fun making yours!

Crochet Tutorial: Baby Sandals with a Bow

Recently I posted a video tutorial for the Ribbon and Bow hatIn continuation of the “bow-tastic” theme, I bring you another baby tutorial showing you how to crochet a pair of peep-toe baby sandals using inspiration from this pattern by Hut’s Crochet. I really liked her instructions on the bottoms and sides, but I adapted my own pattern for the top and bow.

Baby Booties

Here the video tutorial for the baby sandals/slippers.

If you want to make your bow bigger or smaller, watch this video tutorial I filmed a while back to show you how!

These cute sandals are the perfect accent to any infant outfit and go so well with the bow hat. It makes the perfect set to give as a gift! This is another quick and easy project, perfect for a beginner or any seasoned crocheter to accomplish in an afternoon!

Without the bow, these would make cute little boy slippers as well. You can change things up and make a flower, add a button, or any other embellishment! Get creative, and have fun!

Crochet Tutorial: Ribbon and Bow Hat

I had a request to make a baby girl hat in red and white, and it had to have a BOW! I LOVE girly things, and I LOVE bows! This was the best combination for a quick and easy project that I could film a tutorial for! Seriously, this project is great for the beginner crocheter, but everybody can enjoy making this adorable hat!

Bowtastic!

I found this free pattern online at Classy Crochet, and I got some inspiration to make this hat. I did not follow the pattern completely, so if you follow along with my video it will be a little different than the written pattern. I used the hat shell pattern completely and it turned out great. However, I modified the bow using my own method. You can watch this video to make your bow bigger or smaller.

This hat would be perfect to give as a gift to any baby girl, for a baby shower gift, or even for your own little one! You can change out the bow and add a flower, you can leave it plain with just a stripe, or you could add your own embellishments!

In this video I demonstrate how to crochet a baby hat that will fit a 9-12 month old baby. If you want to make a smaller hat, use an H-5.00mm hook. If you want it larger, use a J-6.00mm hook.
