NOTES:

-This project uses less than 350 yards of yarn.
-Use a smaller hook to make these smaller
-Use a bigger hook to make these bigger
-Watch the FULL video tutorial for visual instructions for each round and tips on how to make this smaller and bigger.

-The measurements for this bag are 20 Inches long (50cm), and 10 inches (25cm) for just the bag portion

SC2TOG: Single crochet decrease

Body of Bag:

With Gray, Work in BLO and in continuous rounds
Ch 36
Rnd 1: SC in 1st ch and each ch around to create ring. (36)
Rnd 2: [2SC in next st, SC in next 5 sts] 6 times. (42)
Rnd 3: [2SC in next st, SC in next 6 sts] 6 times. (48)
Rnd 4: [2SC in next st, SC in next 7 sts] 6 times. (54)
Rnd 5: [2SC in next st, SC in next 8 sts] 6 times. (60)
Rnds 6-32: SC in each st around until the bag is as long as you want it to be. (I stopped at 10 inches)
Fasten off, weave in all ends.
Attach White to any st on round 32
Row 33: *Ch 5, sc in 2nd ch from hook, HDC in next, DC in next, TR in next, sk 2 sts on round 32, Sl st in next st, repeat from * until you have as many teeth as you want. (stopped at 9 teeth) Sl st to next st, fasten off, weave in ends.

Tail: With Gray
Ch 30
Rnd 1: SC in 1st ch and each ch around to create ring. (30)
Rnd 2: [2SC in next st, SC in next 4 sts] 6 times. (36)
Rnd 3: [2SC in next st, SC in next 5 sts] 6 times. (42)
Rnd 4: [2SC in next st, SC in next 6 sts] 6 times. (48)
Rnds 5-11: SC in each st around until the tail is as long as you want it to be.
Fasten off with long tail.
Assembly step: Sew tail closed and sew to the inside of the bottom of the bag. (See video tutorial for visual instructions)

Eye: With Black
Ch 2
Rnd 1: 6 SC in 2nd ch from hook. (6)
Rnd 2: 2 SC in each st around. (12)
Fasten of with long tail for sewing.
Add a fleck of white in the eye for detail.
Sew to bag.

Belly of Shark:
With White
Ch 11
Row 1: SC in 2nd ch and across, ch 1, turn. (10)
Row 2: SC in 8 sts, SC2TOG, Ch 1, turn. (9)
Rows 3-7: SC in each st across, ch 1, turn. (9)
Row 8: SC in 7 sts, SC2TOG, ch 1, turn. (8)
Rows 9-13: SC in each st across, ch 1, turn. (8)
Row 14: SC in 6 sts, SC2TOG, ch 1, turn. (7)
Rows 15-23: SC in each st across, ch 1 turn. (7)
Row 24: SC in 5 sts, SC2TOG, ch 1, turn. (6)
Rows 25-31: SC in each st across, ch 1, turn. (6)
Row 32: SC in 4 sts, SC2TOG, ch 1, turn. (5)
Rows 33-35: SC in each st across, ch 1, turn. (5)
Row 36: SC in 3 sts, SC2TOG. (4)
Fasten off with long tail for sewing.
Sew to shark body. (See video tutorial for visual instructions.

Top fin: Make 2 with Gray
Ch 2
Row 1: 4 SC in 2nd ch from hook, ch 1, turn. (4)
Row 2: 2SC in 1st st, SC in next 2 sts, 2SC in last st, turn. (6)
Row 3: Ch up 2 (counts as st), DC in same st, 2DC in each st across, turn. (12)
Row 4: Ch up 2 (counts as st), DC in same st, *DC in next 2 sts, 2 DC in next st, repeat from * across, turn. (16)
Row 5: Ch up 2 (counts as st), DC in same st, *DC in next 3 sts, 2 DC in next st, repeat from * across, turn. (20)
Row 6: Ch up 2 (counts as st), DC in same st, *DC in next 4 sts, 2 DC in next st, repeat from * across, turn. (24)
Fasten off with long tail for sewing.
Sew the front and back pieces together and then sew them to the shark. See video tutorial for visual instructions.

Pocket: With Gray
Ch 13
Row 1: SC in 2nd ch from hook and across, ch 1, turn. (12)
Rows 2-8: SC in each st across, ch 1, turn. (12)
Row 9: SC2TOG, SC in 8 sts, SC2TOG, ch 1, turn. (10)
Row 10: SC2TOG, SC in 6 sts, SC2TOG, ch 1, turn. (8)
Row 11: SC2TOG, SC in 4 sts, SC2TOG, ch 1, turn. (6)
Row 12: SC2TOG, SC in 2 sts, SC2TOG, ch 1, turn. (4)
Continue to SC around whole piece. Fasten off.
Sew to shark side. Use photos as guide. Make sure the pocket is functional (don’t sew up the top side of the pocket)

Gills:
With Black Make 3
Ch 11, fasten off with long tail.
Sew to shark.

Straps:  Make 2
Start with long tail for sewing
Work in BLO and in continuous rounds
Ch 2
Rnd 1: 6 SC in 2nd ch from hook. (6)
Rnd 2: 2 SC in each st around. (12)
Rnds 3-40: SC in each st around. (12)
Rnd 41: [SC2TOG] 6 times. (6) Fasten off with tail for sewing.
Sew to inside of bag.
