Red Heart Yarns with Love in the color Pewter (Approximately 100 yards)
H-5.00mm crochet hook
Yarn Needle
Scissors
Stitch Marker

NOTES:
-Use a smaller hook to make these smaller
-Use a bigger hook to make these bigger
-I do not have stitch counts to make these bigger, but if you want, you can go by measurements
-This project uses Herringbone Half Double Crochet stitches
-This is a unisex design
-These are 9 inches long and 9 inches around, but you can make these longer

 

Special stitches:
Ch(s): chain(s)
YO: Yarn Over
St(s): Stitch(es)
Sl st: slip stitch
SK: Skip
SC: Single Crochet
HDC: Half Double Crochet
HHDC: Herringbone Half Double Crochet
BLO: Back Loop Only
FLO: Front Loop Only
HHDC2TOG: Herringbone Half Double Crochet Decrease

Pattern: Make 2

If you have any confusion or difficulty with reading this pattern, please watch the video tutorial to have visual instructions.

Fingers: Make 4 Work in BLO for all 4.
Ch 8
Rnd 1: Sl st in 1st ch to form a ring, ch 1 and sc in each ch around, do not attach. (8)
Rnds 2-4: Work in continuous rounds, sc in each st around. (8)
Fasten off.
You could continue to make these longer if you want.
See video tutorial on how to attach all 4 fingers.

 

Glove portion/Attaching the fingers.
Arrange the finger tubes so they are facing the same way (See video tutorial)
Rnd 5: Attach to one of the fingers in the BLO, Ch 1, SC in same st and in next 3 sts, SC in next 4 sts on next finger, SC in next 4 sts on next finger, SC in next 3 sts on next finger, SC2TOG on same finger, SC in next 3 sts on same finger, SC in next 4 sts on next finger, SC in next 4 sts on next finger, [SC in 2 sts, SC2TOG] on last finger, Sl st to 1st sc of this round. Ch up 1, (30 sts) Sew in ends and sew holes between fingers closed. (See video tutorial)

Rnds 6-12: Workin continuous rounds, and work in BLO, SC in each st around placing st marker at the beginning of each round.

Rnd 13: Making the thumb hole, SC in each st around until there are 2 sts left, ch 4 and go onto round 14

Rnd 14: You skipped the last 2 sts of round 13, sk the first 2 sts of round 14, and sc in BLO of each st around and in each ch of the thumb hole ch 4 sp (see video tutorial)

Rnd 15-19: SC in the BLO of each st around. (30)

Rnd 20: Work in Front and Back Loop of this round. Sl st into the next st, ch 1, *HHDC2TOG, HHDC in the next 4 sts, repeat from * around, Do not sl st to first st, insert st marker. (24)

Rnd 21-23: Work in both loops, HHDC in each st around, sl st to first st. (24)
Fasten off, weave in all ends.

 

Thumb:
Attach yarn to a stitch around thumb hole., ch 1, sc in 8 sts evenly around thumb hole.
Work 4 rounds total just like the fingers, sc in each st around in the BLO for the thumb hole.

Fasten off, weave in all ends.

-Red Heart Super Saver Medium (worsted) weight yarn:
   Scraps in Jade, Shocking Pink, Medium Thyme, Carrot, and Aran
-Button of any size
-Size H-5.00mm and G-4.25mm Hook
-Yarn Needle
-Scissors
Special Stitches:
Ch: chain
Sl st: slip stitch
DC: Double Crochet
HDC: half double crochet
HDC2TOG: Half-double crochet decrease
FPHDC: Front Post Half Double Crochet
BPHDC: Back Post Half Double Crochet
Sc: single crochet
RS: Right Side
WS: Wrong Side
Special Instructions:
-My pattern will fit a phone that is 4 ¾” x 2 ½” It gives instructions on how to make it larger.
– Always start your rounds in the same stitch as your chain.
– Always join your rounds to the first stitch of the round, NOT the chain.
– Your last stitch should be in the stitch before your chain.
– Do NOT count the chain 2 as a stitch.

Pattern

With H hook and Jade Yarn

Ch 11 (or however many you need to cover the bottom edge of your phone  +1)

Rnd 1: 2sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in each ch across until last ch, 3sc in last ch, turn work to work on opposite side of ch. Sc across. Sl st to first sc of round

Rnds 2-3: ch 1, sc in each st around (22) sl st to first sc of round

Rnd 4: ch 2, hdc in each st around, sl st in first hdc of round

Rnd 5: ch 2 *fphdc around first st of previous round, hdc in next, repeat from * around. Sl st to first st

Rnd 6: ch 2 *hdc in first st, fphdc around hdc of previous round, repeat from * around, sl st to first st.

Rnd 7-16 : Repeat rounds 5 & 6 (or for however long you need yours to be)

You will be working in Rows now:

Row 17: ch 2, turn, 1 hdc in each of the next 7 sts (or however many to center it on the back side), ch 2 turn

Row 18: hdc across

Row 19: hdc2tog, hdc across until the last 2 sts, hdc2tog, ch 2, turn

Row 20: repeat row 19

(Keep repeating row 19 until you have 3 sts left)

Row 21:  (Follow video instructions) hdc in first st, ch 1, skip middle st, 2hdc in last st.

Fasten off, sew in ends

Change color to Shocking Pink

Sc around flap and top rim of phone case.

Fasten off and weave in ends.

 

Secret Pocket:

Same for all size phone cases

With Jade and H-5.00mm hook
ch 8

Row 1: in the 2nd ch from hook hdc and across, ch 2, turn

Row 2: *hdc in first st, fphdc in around next st, repeat from * across, ch 2, turn

Row 3: *bphdc around first st, hdc in next st, repeat from * across, ch 2, turn

Rows 4-10 :repeat rows 2 & 3 or until your piece measures 3.5 inches tall (End with Row 2)

ch 1 an sc around entire piece with RS facing you. Sl st to first sc and fasten off with long tail for sewing.

Sew to case, sew button to outside of this secret pocket, and button flap closed

 

Flower on Back:

With G-4.25mm hook and Medium Thyme

Ch 3

Rnd 1: 11 dc in 3rd ch from hook, sl st to first ch 2 and fasten off (12 DC) change color to Carrot

Rnd 2: With Carrot, sl st to any dc from round 1, ch 1, 2sc in same st, 2sc in each st around, fasten off (24 sc) Change color to Aran

Rnd 3: With Aran, sl st to any sc from round 2, *skip next st, 5dc in next st, skip next st, sl st in next st, repeat from * around. Sl st to first sl st of round. (6 petals made)

Fasten off with long tail. Sew to back of phone case.
