This Winter Stripes Scarf is a wonderful way to use up your scrap yarn. Using a multitude of color, this scarf adds a fantastic pop of color to your winter wardrobe. I used the Crunch Stitch throughout this project to create texture for this piece. I love that the added fringe gives this scarf an overall boho feel.

As soon as the summer ends and the temperature starts to change, I get started on all my fall and winter fashion pieces. I love creating new designs for Nate, but this piece isn’t just for the guys in your life! This can be made for anyone. Here, I am using Comfort yarn from Red Heart Yarns. This yarn is perfect for this Diamond Trellis stitch! It gives it dimension and texture to create a wonderful look. It also provides warmth without being too heavy. Blanket scarves are becoming more and more popular. I love the extra wide look of this piece.
Don’t need a scarf? You can take this pattern and by repeating it, turn this into a great blanket. How’s that for versatility?

As I make progress on the costumes that I am designing for Nate and myself for Halloween, I was puzzled over how to make a pair of Beast Mitts. I pooled over ideas of what would work, what would be comfortable for an evening of partying with our friends, what would look like a pair of paws with claws? All these questions are answered in this pair of open finger gloves.
These mitts are not meant for freezing temperature days. Just by appearance, it’s obvious why. These are strictly for costume purpose. However, but omitting the finger/claws you would have a basic pair of fingerless gloves or hand warmers.
I used Red Heart Boutique Fur to cover these paws. You are free to use creative choices for the type of fur you would like to use. You can create a different look by using different types of furs.
The pattern can be adjusted for any size hand. In my video, I created this pair to fit a larger sized man-hand. With easy math, you can make this pattern from child size to an XL hand size. Have fun with this costume/prop accessory. It is perfect for so many designs – wildcats, bears, lions, werewolves, beasts, monsters, etc.
Designed by Nadia Fuad You *may* sell items made from my pattern, but please reference my website YARNutopia.com.
Please do not copy, sell, and/or post this pattern and claim it as your own.
NOTES:
-The pattern video tutorial starts at 7 minutes and 22 seconds. The first 7 minutes are frequently asked questions and other information.
-You can use any yarn that is a worsted weight or a Double Knitting (DK) yarn to make these gloves
-This pattern is written for an adult size, but if you watch the whole video tutorial, I explain how to make these bigger or smaller.
-You can use a smaller or larger hook to make this square depending on your tension.
-This took me about 3 hours to complete
-This video tutorial shows only the Right Hand, but with simple modifications, you can make the left hand.

It starts with a chill in the air and dew on the grass, the time of the year when we begin to add an extra layer for warmth. Why not do that in style for someone you love? With a touch of old-fashioned elegance and sophisticated elements of Jay Gatsby, The Classic Man Scarf is the perfect accessory for the man in your life. I have a personal bias with this particular model, being that he happens to be the man in MY life! This scarf is very versatile and can be worn in a multitude of ways as shown in these photos. The length provides possibility for many different looks.
I combined a variety of stitches and textures to create this lovely piece that is sure to please even the most fashion conscious individual. Using the waffle stitch, half double crochet ribbed stitches, and waves, this multi-textured scarf is a perfect design for anyone. My design was made with three colors of soft yarn giving it all the comfort and warmth needed when we can’t get away from the cold weather.
Whether it’s a cool autumn day and Jack Frost is nipping at your nose or there is a Polar Vortex chilling you to the bone, The Classic Man Scarf is the perfect accessory for all those times you need to keep yourself nice and toasty, but still look fantastic doing it!
No photo shoot is complete without a few fun bloopers! We work hard, but play hard too! Enjoy!

In keeping with my costume theme that began with my Enchanted Rose Cape, I have finished designing Part 2: The Beast Hat. From the outside, he may appear menacing, but underneath is a heart of gold. He’s my perfect beast!
This beast hat encapsulates the fierce persona that one would like to portray in this costume. If you are looking to do the Beast from Beauty and the Beast, this particular hat is just the right way to achieve that!
Beyond the Beast, this hat has a lot of versatility! You can remove the horns, change the colors, change the ears to create your own adult hat in various animals such as a bear, a skunk, a panda, or the like. This is a very warm and heavy hat perfect for those winter days. Enjoy this tutorial and written pattern!

-The pattern video tutorial starts at 9 minutes. The first 9 minutes are frequently asked questions and other information.
-You can use any bulky yarn or any furry yarn if you cannot find the Patons Theo yarn.
-This pattern is written for an adult size, but if you stop increasing on rounds 2 or 3 of the hat, you could make this for a baby.
-You can use a smaller or larger hook to make this square depending on your tension.
-For measurements and to learn how big mine turned out to be, watch the beginning of the video tutorial.
-This took me about 3 hours to complete

Perfect for the gamer, this Minecraft Creeper hat is an easy pattern to work up in a few short hours! My video tutorial demonstrates the pattern for the beanie as well as the character detail.
I was fortunate enough to have Nate model a sample, but in the video tutorial, I demonstrate how to make a toddler/child size hat. You can go on to increase your stitches to make this larger after round 7. See the notes section for further instructions.
For hat sizing and stitch counting, follow along with the measure guide chart in this post here.
