Yarn Needle

With Buff, Make 2
Ch 2
Rnd 1: 6 SC in 2nd Ch from hook. (6)
Rnd 2: SC in each st around. (6)
Rnd 3: 2 SC in next st, SC in the rest of the sts of this round. (7)
Rnd 4: SC in each st around. (7)
Rnd 5: 2 SC in next st, SC in the rest of the sts of this round. (8)
Rnd 6: SC in each st around. (8)
Rnd 7: 2 SC in next st, SC in the rest of the sts of this round. (9)
Rnd 8: SC in each st around. (9)
Rnd 9: 2 SC in next st, SC in the rest of the sts of this round. (10)
Rnd 10: SC in each st around. (10)
Rnd 11: 2 SC in next st, SC in the rest of the sts of this round. (11)
Rnd 12: SC in each st around. (11)

Assembly:
You can fasten off with long tail for sewing, so weave in your end and pin it to a hat or headband.

Materials:
-129 yds of Baby By Herrschner’s (Baby Cloudsoft) in PeachyKeen
Size I-5.50mm Crochet Hook
Yarn Needle
Scissors

NOTES:
-You may use any size thread and any size hook to make this. Just know that it will turn out larger or smaller, but this project goes off measurements, so you can use any type of yarn to achieve this look.


Shop Red Heart, America's Favorite Yarn

Ch: chain
St(s): Stitch(es)
YO: Yarn Over
Sl st: slip stitch
SC: Single Crochet
DC: Double Crochet
Puff Stitch: (PS) (YO, Go into directed stitch, YO, Pull through) x5 (you should have 11 loops on your hook) YO and pull through all 11 loops. Puff Made.

Bonnet
Start with Slip Knot with Long tail for sewing later
Ch 21 Loosely
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and across, ch 1, turn. (20 sc)

Row 2: HDC in 1st st, *PS in next, HDC in next, repeat from * across, ending with HDC in last 2 sts. Ch 1, turn. (9 puff stitches made, 11 HDCs made)

Row 3: HDC in 1st 2 sts, *PS in next st, HDC in next st, repeat from * across. Ch 1, turn.

Row 4-31: Repeat rows 2 & 3 until your piece is 15 Inches (I was able to end at row 31, but you can end on any ODD number Row)

Row 32: Sc across and down the long side of your work (see video tutorial for visual instructions)
Fasten off

Assembly: Sew up the backside of the bonnet with the beginning long strand of yarn we made when we created our slip knot.

Tie Tassel:
Chain 100, Fasten off, Weave through the bottom edge of bonnet. (See video tutorial for visual instructions)

Weave in all ends.
