
This is the Let’s Bake a Cake Apron! During this time of year, lots of homes are busy with the hustle and bustle of the season! This great smock is made with the amazing Red Heart Yarns in Strata, and works up beautifully to provide you the best cover-up around when you are hard at work baking!

Materials:
**Get the full kit of supplies here!!**
–Red Heart Yarns Strata in Teal
–Red Heart Yarns Strata in White
–Red Heart Yarns Strata in Red
(400 yards total of yarn)
–K-6.50mm Crochet Hook
–Yarn Needle
–Scissors
NOTES:
-Use a smaller hook to make these smaller
-Use a bigger hook to make these bigger
-This is a repeat pattern
-The one I made is 22 inches long. The straps provide versatility to make it longer or shorter
-We are making all the pieces separate and sewing them together
-To make these bigger, chain as many as you need for each section
-Make more or less rows to make this shorter or longer.
Special stitches:
Ch(s): chain(s)
YO: Yarn Over
St(s): Stitch(es)
Sl st: slip stitch
SK: Skip
SC: Single Crochet
DC: Double Crochet
Shell: 3 DC in same stitch

Straps: Make 2 in White
Ch 5
Row 1: SC in 2nd ch from hook and across, ch 1, turn (4 sts)
Row 2-60: SC in each st across, ch 1, turn (4 sts)
Fasten off, Weave in all ends.
Top:
Chain any amount or
Ch 27
Row 1: DC in 4th ch from hook and across, turn. (25 sts)
Row 2-14: Ch 3 (counts as DC), DC across, turn. (25 sts)
SC around entire piece.
Fasten off with LONG TAIL for sewing.
With White:
Attach yarn to top right, ch 1, sc in same st, * Shell in next, sc in next, repeat from * across. Fasten off weave in ends.
Sash:
Ch 9
Row 1: SC in 2nd ch from hook and across, ch 1, turn (8 sts)
Row 2-130: SC in each st across, ch 1, turn (8 sts)
Fasten off, Weave in all ends.
Bottom:
Ch 52
Row 1: DC in 4th ch from hook and across, turn. (50 sts)
Row 2-15: Ch 3 (counts as DC), DC across, turn. (50 sts)
SC around entire piece.
Fasten off with LONG TAIL for sewing.
With White:
Attach yarn to top right, ch 1, sc in same st, * Shell in next, sc in next, repeat from * across. Fasten off weave in ends.
Pockets: Make 2
Ch 13
Row 1: SC in 2nd ch from hook and across, ch 1, turn (12 sts)
Row 2-16: SC in each st across, ch 1, turn (12 sts)
Fasten off with long tail for sewing
With White:
Attach yarn to top right, ch 1, sc in same st, * Shell in next, sc in next, repeat from * across. Fasten off weave in ends.
Assembly:
Sew all pieces together. See video tutorial for visual instructions.
