12 Days of Christmas: Santa Ornament

This Santa Ornament is our tenth pattern in the 12 Days of Christmas Ornament collection! This is such a cute little crocheted gift to adorn your tree or use it instead of a bow on a package for anyone on your gift giving list!

Materials you will need:
Red Heart Super Saver Yarn in any colors you want. I used Cherry Red, Buff, Black, and White
F-3.75mm Crochet Hook
Stuffing
Yarn Needle
Scissors

NOTES:
-Use a larger hook to make this larger.
-This ornament measures approximately 5 inches tall and 3 inches wide

Ch(s): chain(s)
YO: Yarn Over
BLO: Back Loop Only
St(s): Stitch(es)
Sl st: slip stitch
SK: Skip
SC: Single Crochet

Santa
With Cherry Red
Work in BLO and in continuous rounds
Ch 2
Rnd 1: 6 SC in 2nd ch from hook. (6)
Rnd 2: 2 SC in each st around. (12)
Rnd 3: [2 SC in next st, SC in next st] 6 times. (18)
Rnd 4: [2 SC in next st, SC in next 2 sts] 6 times. (24)
Rnd 5: [2 SC in next st, SC in next 3 sts] 6 times. (30)
Rnds 6-10: SC in each st around. (30)
Rnd 11: [SC2TOG, SC in next 3 sts] 6 times. (24)
Rnd 12: [SC2TOG, SC in next 2 sts] 6 times. (18)
Change color to tan/Buff
Rnds 13-17: SC in each st around. (18)
Add eyes to round 15 or 16
Stuff piece and go onto closing the top
Rnd 18: [SC2TOG, SC in next st] 6 times. (12)
Rnd 19: [SC2TOG] 6 times. (6)

Hat:
With Cherry Red
Work in BLO and in continuous rounds
Ch 2
Rnd 1: 6 SC in 2nd ch from hook. (6)
Rnds 2-5: SC in each st around. (6)
Rnd 6: 2 SC in next st, SC in the rest of the sts around. (7)
Rnd 7: Repeat Round 6. (8)
Rnd 8: Repeat Round 6. (9)
Rnd 9: Repeat Round 6. (10)
Rnd 10: Repeat Round 6. (11)
Rnd 11: Repeat Round 6. (12)
Rnd 12: [2 SC in next st, SC in next st] 6 times. (18)
Rnd 13: SC in each st around. (18)
Change color to White
Rnds 14-15: SC in each st around. (18)
Rnd 16: [2 SC in next st, SC in next 2 sts] 6 times. (24)
Fasten off with long tail for sewing.

Assembly:
Attach beard yarns around bottom of face and fray out yarn to make beard fluffy. Cut to your liking.
Sew hat to head and add pom to end of hat.

Add string/ribbon to make it an ornament
Weave in all ends.
