Materials you will need:

Red Heart Yarns Super Saver in Gold, Warm Brown
Size H-5.00mm crochet hook
Yarn Needle
Scissors

NOTES:

-This project uses less than 100 yards of yarn.
-Use a smaller hook to make these smaller
-Use a bigger hook to make these bigger
-Watch the FULL video tutorial for visual instructions for each row and tips on how to make this smaller and bigger.
-Weave in all the ends as you go so you don’t have to weave them all in at the very end.

Shop Red Heart, America's Favorite Yarn

Special stitches used:
Ch(s): chain(s)
YO: Yarn Over
St(s): Stitch(es)
BLO: Back Loops Only
Sl st: slip stitch
SC: Single Crochet
HDC: Half Double Crochet


Color nature with Copic markers!

Pattern:

If you have any confusion or difficulty with reading this pattern, please watch the video tutorial to have visual instructions.

Hat

Work in continuous rounds and in the BLO
Ch 35
Round 1: SC in 1st ch (this creates a ring), SC in the rest of the chs around. (35 sts)

Round 2: SC in each st around.

Round 3: SC in 7 sts, Ch 4, Sk 4 sts, SC in 5 sts, Ch 4, Sk 4 sts, SC in the rest of the sts around.

Rounds 4-5: SC in each st around.
Sl st to next st.

You will now be working in Rows. (You can turn your work after every row)

Row 6: Ch 1, HDC in 21 sts, leave the rest unworked, turn.

Row 7: HDC in each st across, turn.

Row 8: HDC across, continue down the side and HDC 3 sts together, SC along round 5 to the other side, HDC 3 sts together up the other side of the flap. Fasten off. Weave in all ends.

Assembly Step:
See video tutorial on how to add fringe and fray it out.
Add fringe all around your hat and then comb it out and fray it all so it’s nice and fluffy! Trim it down so it’s not so wild and uneven.
