Crochet Tutorial: Open Heart Cup Cozy

Crochet Tutorial: Open Heart Cup Cozy

Oh, it’s after 8am! Sorry I just had a little *hic-cup* this morning, but here’s today’s pun! Better *latte* than never! So we are halfway through our Valentine’s Day puns! *Cool Beans* you guys! Words can’t *espresso* how much it *beans* to me to share this *creativi-tea* with all of you! I *mug* continue to be motivated and finish out this stretch! Today’s project is an exercise in *simplici-tea*–here’s my Open Heart Cup Cozy. I had a different idea when I started (I frogged it) but I always say “if at first you don’t succeed, *chai, chai* again.” This project is great way to tell teachers, colleagues, and friends how *tea-riffic* they are! Add some special *blends* and give the gift of *tranquili-tea* to someone you care about! Not sure if you want to try this? I say go ahead and *brew* it! The Open Heart Cup Cozy will be on the blog later today. Now I think I might go crochet and listen to some Fleetwood *Mac-chiato*. Ok, too far…😂😂 *Cough-ee* #sorrynotsorry Doing this for y’all is like living la vida *mocha*. Seriously, I’m done now.

Crochet Tutorial: The Cozy Colossal Blanket

Crochet Tutorial: The Cozy Colossal Blanket

Days turned into weeks, that turned into months, and I finally finished. My crochet hand and arms had a mega workout, but it was so worth the effort. This beautiful chunky yarn blanket using Red Heart Irresistible Yarn is one of the most beautiful pieces I have ever made for the home. Just in time for cold nights and winter winds, it truly is…irresistible.

This blanket is an investment piece. These chunky yarns are not skeins you are going to find in a bargain bin. They can be pricey. This is one of those projects where coupons and sales come in handy!! This is definitely a piece you want to have for your home or for a gift to someone VERY special. Side note–this blanket does shed, and I personally have not felted mine to reduce the shedding, but you can opt to do whatever you feel.

I made my project in stripes, but you can make it in a solid tone. It’s a striking blanket no matter what you decide to do. This afghan is extremely heavy–I would guess about 10-12 pounds, maybe more! This is a very trendy and popular piece that you find in high end home decor.

Crochet Tutorial: String of Hearts Cup Cozy

Crochet Tutorial: String of Hearts Cup Cozy

Rise and shine, it’s a “brew-tiful” day! Words can’t “espresso” how much you “bean” to me. You always stay “grounded” and work at “mocha” me happy. Even when I have a “latte” on my mind, you are there to give me your sweet “sugar.” Every day, you’re ready to face the daily “grind.” Even if each day feels like a “deja brew,” you never get “heated” and say “I don’t give a “frapp,”” or “What’s “Sumatra” with my life?” Instead, you’re always “perky” and “tea-riffic!” So, better “latte” than never, I want you to know that you’re more than an Average “Joe.” You’re just my “cup of tea.”

Crochet Tutorial: The Joyful Teapot Cozy

Crochet Tutorial: The Joyful Teapot Cozy

Holiday entertaining is right around the corner. I personally enjoy tea with friends. Add a special touch to your table setting with The Joyful Teapot Cozy!

teapot3
I added the word “Joy” to my teapot, but you can add any word. It’s very simple to chain and sew it onto the cozy. You don’t have to use holly leaves and berries as your embellishments either. Have fun with it and get creative by adding flowers, leaves, or other appliqués to make your teapot cozy personal.

teapot2

The Joyful Teapot Cozy makes a lovely gift idea. Wrapped around a vintage teapot and filled with specialty teas, this would go far in making someone’s holiday tea-rrific!

Crochet Tutorial: Seasonal Jar Covers

Crochet Tutorial: Seasonal Jar Covers

This is a very festive pattern that I made for Halloween. It’s the perfect project to repurpose some used jars and for the ultimate recycler, this is right up your alley. This is not just a Halloween project. It can be changed to fit any holiday or party. It’s great for gift giving too!

These jar covers can be made to fit any size jar. I show in the tutorial how to do that, as well in the written pattern. The versatility of this pattern makes it easy to adapt to any event! Fill the jars with candy, hot cocoa mix, cookie mix, tea bags, coffee, put a candle inside, hide your spare change, store pens/pencils inside, the possibilities are endless!
