I wanted to hop on YARNutopia’s channel to ask a big favor! I NEED your help. In order to monetize my Ambient Sounds (second YouTube Channel) I need AT LEAST 4,000 watched hours. So this is where you can help me out. Go to my other channel here: @Fuad Azmat / Ambient Sounds and SUBSCRIBE and click to receive notifications of new video posts. Watch my videos. Do you like to have back ground noise on while you crochet? Do you like to have white noise play to help you sleep? Do you like to relax to the sounds of waves or wind chimes? If so, we got something for you! There’s a little something for everyone! So check us out here: @Fuad Azmat / Ambient Sounds
Thank you for your support and help and we will be back here on YARNutopia with a new crochet video soon! Thanks for watching!!
You may think that making up puns is no “truffle” at all. But, Holy “Shiitake,” it’s not easy!! I “moss” say that I have really taken a “lichen” to this. At least I have “morel” support from everyone. You give me “mush-room” to be creative, so I can “button” down and get these done! Once I get a good pun figured out, I feel like the “porto-bell-o” of the ball! I appreciate your encouragement because that’s what friends are “spore.”

“In the light of the moon, a little egg lay on a leaf. One Sunday morning the warm sun came up, and pop! out of the egg came a tiny, very hungry caterpillar.”
From the children’s storybook Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle
Oftentimes, my crochet items for children are inspired by animated characters from storybooks, movies, or cartoons. Today’s project is no exception. One of my favorite childhood authors is Eric Carle. He brings to life, in full color, these amazing characters like the very hungry caterpillar.
I found this free pattern online that was the foundation of my idea for this cocoon. However, I did modify the pattern to fit my own ideas of what I wanted to see this character set turn out to be. Feel free to follow my video tutorial, but if you need a written pattern, please refer to MelodyCrochet. Keep in mind, the end result will turn out different because I did not use her complete pattern which I discuss in the video.
This cocoon makes a great photo prop. It will fit a newborn to 3 month old baby, but in my video, I share how to make it larger for up to 6 months! This item would be a unique and special gift to anybody expecting a new baby. It is versatile, and will be suitable for a baby boy or girl.
This is an easy-to-follow tutorial, and it can be done by any skill level. Grab your hooks, and let’s get started!
